Understanding the districts
Six administrative districts: central Kirovsky and Leninsky, plus Dzerzhinsky, Zavolzhsky, Krasnoperekopsky and Frunzensky. Dzerzhinsky is the most populous, Zavolzhsky the largest by area and Leninsky the smallest.
Yaroslavl-Glavny, in Kirovsky District, is the main railway station. Moskovsky station is in Krasnoperekopsky District and the river terminal is in the centre. Several districts also have railway stops, including Molot and Filino.
